The weather has been bitterly cold in Delhi for the past few weeks. As temperatures drop to 4 degress Celcius (39 degrees Fahrenheit), people in the slums, who have no heat in their homes, suffer greatly. The elderly are the most vulnerable to the cold season. Most in the slums are desparately poor and many are without family members to care for them. As part of Asha's relief programme, we distributed blankets to the elderly in our slums this Christmas. We are so grateful to all our supporters who donated towards this cause. It is still possible to support blankets for the elderly this winter.

Before, there was no electricity, now there is. There were lots of problems before, but now things are much better. Our lives have changed because of Asha and I would like people to be able to learn as we have, to receive all the training that we have, and to be as confident about ourselves as we are.
