This news clip shows all too clearly why on-site slum development is nearly always a better option than slum relocation.
The people of Savda Ghevra (resettled there after their homes in Thokar No. 8 were demolished to make way for a Commonwealth Games site in 2006) may have more space and homes built from bricks, but many are away from their families and struggling to earn a living.
