On 10th February, ten eminent members of Canadian business and charitable organisations visited Asha as part of their trip entitled "Social Change at Work in India: A Leadership Journey for Canadians." The group listened to a presentation on the Asha model given by Asha Associate Director Freddy Martin before travelling into the Ekta Vihar colony. During their visit to the slum, the group met with members of the Mahila and Bal Mandals and heard first-hand about their work. The group also talked to the students that Asha has helped obtain admission to colleges in Delhi University. The visitors were particularly impressed by the work of the women from the Mahila Mandal. The visit provided a great opportunity for the strengthening of ties between India and Canada.
