A group of sixteen visitors from TEARFund came to Asha recently as part of a 5-week exposure trip arranged through Efficor. The team were given a tour of Asha's headquarters and then visited Dr Ambedkar Basti, the slum where Asha's work started in 1988.
One of the visitors commented on behalf of the group, saying how privileged they felt to witness Asha's work. She mentioned that it was amazing to see how much could be achieved through empowering women who live in the slums.

Transformation of lives is possible through educating and creating awareness about health and hygiene and empowering people to lobby for their rights. I truly believe that these people can completely change their lives. We are only here to help them.
