Ms. Tajdar Babbar, the circle MLA and Ms. Paula McNeight, the coordinator of Tearfund Transform Team as Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour respectively, inaugurated the newly refurbished centre at Anna Nagar on 28th March.

The Tearfund Transform team led by Paula McNeight had been working very hard despite the heat and frequent gastro-intestinal problems. The 14-member team painted beautiful murals in the computer room, children resource centre and the meeting room. The doctor's room, the adjoining rooms and furnitures too saw a fresh coat.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Babbar thanked the team for bringing cheers to the community especially the children with beautiful paintings and for being with them throughout their stay. She also requested them to come back again and share the love and friendship with the community and the people of India at large.

Since I’ve been involved with Asha I’ve learnt so much about health and how I can help my neighbours. I’ve also learnt to speak English, and I know how to use computers as well - I have a much better chance of getting a good job when I leave school.
